On Sunday last, the Galway side emerged 1-0 winners over Mervue United in a very hard fought semi final at Fahy's Field.
Scoring chances were certainly at a premium throughout, with the winner arriving on 78 minutes after Connor Cannon headed home a Ray Moran cross.
Athenry will be chasing their third title in succession, while the Mayo side are in their first final in twenry five seasons.
