Goalkeeper Mike O'Donovan and central midfielder Padraig Daly were the hero's as Kiltullagh won the Jack Lillis Cup at Deacy Park, Terryland on Sunday.
The decider finished scoreless after extra time, with Timmy Holian's charges eventually winning 4-3 following a penalty shootout success over Knocknacarra.
Now if O'Donovan was competent at one end for Kiltullagh, Miguel Posse was equally impressive at the other for Knocknacarra as both custodian's made a series of top class saves throughout a close contest.
The shootout finished level at 3-3 following the regulation five penalties, with Sean O'Donovan, Johnny Creaven and Noel Kelly all finding the range for the winners, while Dean Lydon, Ross Bennis and Brian Naughton were accurate for Kevin Cooney's side.
It looked like neither side wanted to win it in sudden death, as O'Donovan and Posse excelled when making some smart stops and in the process six efforts in succession were either missed or saved.
Eventually Padraig Daly applied the required finesse to slot home the winner and give Second Division Kiltullagh a 4-3 win and their first silverware in over a decade.
