Renmore U14 win Connacht Cup title

Renmore under 14 squad won the Connacht Cup title last Saturday afternoon at Abbeycarton, Longford. Renmore started the game at high tempo and the early pressure was rewarded with a goal from Cian Garrett who struck home from outside the box. After 15 minutes, Garrett pounced again and slotted home from close range. With 25 minutes gone and good inter-play from Coyne and Mulgannon the ball was pushed wide where Ryan Forde crossed from the left wing to Cian Garrett who scored for his hat trick.
On the 30th minute Forde dribbled at speed passed two defenders and slotted home for Renmore’s 4th.
The second half and to their credit Westport fought back hard and tried to reduce the margin . After 10 mins Westport scored a cracker from 25 yards. The second half was a more even contest with both teams having chances .Renmore finished stronger with Adam Quirke hitting the cross-bar on two occasions.
