Mervue Utd U15's Complete League and Cup Double

Mervue Utd's under 15 team matched their Under 16 counterparts as they claimed a league and cup double for the season after they captured the Premier Cup with a hard earned 2-1 win over Knocknacarra FC at Eamonn Deacy Park on Tuesday night.
Mervue were two up at the break as first half goals from Eoin Higgins and Conor McGrath gave them a 2-0 interval lead but a goal ten minutes from time from Kamil Szymaszek made it a nervous finish for Colin Conneely and Noel McDonnell's side but they defended well and denied Knocknacarra any real clear chances as they retained both the league and cup titles also won at this level by the club last season.
After the game the Galway FA's Donnie Farragher presented Mervue captain Conor Melody with the Premier Cup to cap a great season for his side.
