How do new coaches access the system?
Your club secretary will supply your contact details including email to the GFA, and the GFA will then create your account. You will then receive an email from heracles.regrading@gmail.com email address – please check your spam folder for the email with subject "Confirm your email", this will contain a personalised URL and your temporary password. You must use this URL and the temporary password. It is a security feature that you cannot use the main production URL until after you have verified your email and changed your password.

Under the FAI PDP guidelines, results are not to be shared by anybody. Results are kept private to the GFA sub-committee for the purposes of re-grading only. As an away manager, you can see the result as entered by the Home manager and you can provide additional feedback. |
9 | Can results be returned by the club secretary? | No.
We want feedback by coaches who were there on the day, not just the final score. The feedback comments can sometimes be more important than the score. The results for U10-U11s are in a totally different format with twin results which is not supported by sportsmanager. We can give a club secretary their own login, but this only allows the secretary to view all results for their club at all age groups. A club secretary won't be allowed to edit any data entered by coaches. |
10 | Will I receive a notification when the Home Manager has entered the score? | No. This is a ‘feature request’ not yet implemented. |
11 | Can the GFA reset my password for me? | No, for security reasons, this has to be done by the user themselves. Follow the instructions at the bottom of this page. |
Welcome email
Once you have successfully reset your password, your account will be unlocked and you will receive a second email with subject “Welcome to Heracles”
Step A
Click on the link in the email i.e., the hyperlink that says “clicking here”, and enter your username and your temporary password which is included in the email.
Note: That link has security embedded that it will only work for this email address. This link will not work a second time once the password is reset.
For security reasons, you will be forced to change your password
Adding the score
Step 1 – Click on fixture
When you successfully login you will see any fixtures that are set for your team (in this screenshot below; there is 1 fixture setup for Round 1)

Continue to Step 2 below.
Step 2 - Entering Scores and feedback as Home Manager
When you login, the default screen is the fixtures screen. Simply click on the first fixture displayed, and it will allow you to enter the following details:
- Fixture Date - please set the day the game was played
- Fixture Time – please set the KO time that was used
- Home Score 1 – this is score by the home team after adjustment on the day, for game number 1 which should be the strongest players in your squad of 18 players. E.g., Very large adjustment add 10 goals.
- Home Score 2 – this is score by the home team after adjustment on the day, for game number 2 which should be the weaker players in your squad of 18 player. E.g., Very large adjustment add 10 goals.
- Away Score 1 - this is score by the away team after adjustment on the day, for game number 1 . E.g., Very large adjustment add 10 goals.
- Away Score 2 - this is score by the away team after adjustment on the day, for game number 2. E.g., Very large adjustment add 10 goals.
- Home Comment – any relevant information – especially required if adjustments were made on the day.
- Away Comment is read-only – this is for the Away Manager to enter

Step 2 - Entering feedback as away Manager
When you login, the default screen is the fixtures screen. Simply click on the first fixture displayed, and it will allow you to enter the following details:
- Away Comment – any relevant information – especially required if adjustments were made on the day.
- All other details are visible as read-only – so they are not updatable by the Away Manager. If you do not agree with anything entered by the Home Manager, then add the details to the Away Comment.

Reset you password
- Go to the Heracles login page and click the "Forgot your password" link (as per screenshot below).
- How to "Find your Username"
To find your login, search for the original email with a subject of "Confirm your email"
Note; normally your username is your full name plus a "." without and spaces or special characters (e.g., ger.ryan, ger.reilly, ger.odowd). - Your email is not normally used as your username.
For security reasons, it is by design that it does not tell you your login is valid or not when attempting a password reset. Otherwise Heracles system would be susceptible to brute force attacks as it is open to the public.
