The wait is almost over… 

The 2026/27 Galway Football Association season gets underway this weekend, with U14, U16 and U18 boys and girls teams from right across Galway City and County ready to take to the pitch.

The boots are polished.

The balls are ready.

The jerseys are laid out.

The training has been done.

Now comes the part everyone has been waiting for Match day. 

For some, it will be the first step in a season they will never forget. For others, it’s another chance to compete, improve and represent their club with pride.

And at the start, everyone has the same points total.

Everyone is level. Everyone can dream. 

Dream of winning the league.

Dream of reaching a cup final.

Dream of that last-minute winner.

Dream of lifting a trophy with teammates, family and friends cheering from the sideline.

From the City to the County, boys and girls will pull on their club colours this weekend and begin their journey.
