Rules / Guidelines
- U10 & U11 league is operated by the Galway FA
- Team name includes the age group. Teams will be graded each round.
- ALL FIXTURES will follow the FAI PDP for Under 11s (see links below for videos and PDFs)
- Streaming should occur for the twin-games on the day. "Strong-7 v Strong-7" and "Weaker-7 v Weaker-7".
- The grading system after each round will bring teams with similar abilities or levels closer together.
1) The "Advised" K.O time is
• For Boys this is 10:30 on a Saturday as this will eventually be the set time when they get to u12s.
• For Girls this is 10:30 on a Sundays as this will eventually be the set time when they get to u12s.
2) The HOME TEAM manager must contact the Away team manager no later than Monday of a fixture weekend and agree a time and day to play the fixture.
We would ask all managers to be as flexible as possible
3) All fixtures Must be completed and Results uploaded to the results system no later than 6pm on Sunday of a fixture weekend. There will be no postponed fixtures, if it is not played be Sunday evening we cannot include the results in the grading for the next round of fixtures.
4) All team manager details will be on the GFA Website which we will post to this group as soon as fixtures are completed.
5) No results from any of these games are to be published anywhere, only entered onto the fixtures management system.
6) I will be creating logins to the results system over the next couple of days. Please follow the instructions when you receive this login email. We will be in touch with more information on this.
7) The home team is responsible for organising a match referee (this can be from the away team by agreement) for each pitch on the day, please make sure that anyone requested to ref a game has watched the videos showing the format and ethos of u10s. I will repost these short videos, for anyone who has not watched them please do.
8) We need the correct score from each pitch to be able to regrade the teams, this doesn't mean allow a pitch to go to a huge goal difference.
There will be a feedback area when submitting the results for you to add comments, such as
"On the 2nd pitch the score was 9-1 so we had to put on an extra player (or 2) to try to even it up.
It finished 11-7 but it would have been alot more if we kept the teams with 7v7"
Feedback such as this will be taken into account when regrading the teams for the next round.
